St Pete High Students Hold Fishing Tournament: CASting for Tampa Bay to Benefit Tampa Bay Watch
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – April 26, 2022 — A fishing tournament named CASting for Tampa Bay will take place on Saturday, April 30th beginning at 6:00 AM – ending at 2:00 PM. Entrance fee is $40 per boat with all profits being donated to Tampa Bay Watch.
“This is something we believed in and felt was a good cause in our area (our CAS project) to help protect Tampa Bay and keep our waters clean,” said student Raleigh Walker who created this tournament as part of an environmental school project with fellow classmates Dylan Kramer and Jorn Rutkis.
Inshore Slam (Snook, Redfish and Trout) are the target fish for the tournament with boats having the First, Second and Third largest slams winning prizes provided by sponsors. All fish will be “catch and release” unless size and season requirements are met by the FWC. A post tournament party will be held at Boaters Republic located at 3100 4th Street N., St Petersburg, FL 33704 at 4:00 PM
Tournament Rules:
- Boats can only leave at 6:00 AM and must return to dock before 2:00 PM
- All fish must be measured with standard ruler and pictures must include entire fish
- Boats are not to go beyond the Tampa Bay area-past the Skyway Bridge
- Maximum of 4 adults per boat – no limits on children
- Must have valid fishing license if over 16 years of age
- Must follow all FWC Guidelines for operating a boat safely

The Left Bank Bistro Celebrates New Lance Rodgers Art Acquisition with Unveiling Event
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – April 18, 2022 — The Left Bank Bistro will be unveiling its newest art acquisition with a special evening to commemorate the art and the artist on Friday, April 22nd. At 6:30 there will be a cocktail hour with a glass of complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres upon arrival, live music by David Downing with the presentation at 7:30 PM. A special prix fixe menu has been prepared with one seating at 8 PM. Patrons are welcome to stay and mingle with music and cocktails even after dinner service begins. Roaring 20’s attire is strongly encouraged.
“This collaboration and project with Lance Rodgers has been an incredible learning experience about this important place and time where artists, writers and creatives gathered together before they were famous and shared ideas, ” said Susanne Byram, proprietor of The Left Bank Bistro. “Never before or since has there been a time where all these incredible individuals gathered together in the 1920s and now here we are 100 years later. The conversations, mutual appreciation for the arts and camaraderie were the inspiration for my restaurant. I believe it was an important moment in time that we need to honor and continue with today,” she continued.
“When Susanne Byram approached me about her vision, I was intrigued and loved the challenge of learning more about these significant individuals who have inspired and continue to impact the arts over 100 years later,” said Lance Rodgers. “I learned so much more once we started researching the various people who frequented the Left Bank in 1920s Paris. It was interesting and rewarding to collaborate with Susanne on this project and I hope this piece continues to inform and educate people about her vision and inspiration for The Left Bank Bistro in St. Petersburg, FL.

Women-Owned Businesses Collaborate to Launch SEE Company Collection in Honor of Women’s History Month
CLEARWATER, Fla. – March 4, 2022 — A group of women-owned businesses have collaborated to launch the new SEE Company, Inc. collection of high-end, luxury clothing and accessories, founded by Bev Jennings. Doubletake Marketing & PR, Second Sol Studios along with Women’s Business Enterprise Council of Florida (WBEC Florida) have united to create the official launch of the SEE Signature Collection in honor of Women’s History Month.
“When I started SEE Company I wanted to put my diversity & inclusion knowledge to work for everyone. Our ultimate goal is to “See Everyone Elevate,” regardless of position,” says Bev Jennings. “It is an honor to be amongst other women who have come together to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table.
