Doubletake Knows Not-for-Profits!
Case Study
Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts
The Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts asked Doubletake to raise their visibility in the Tampa Bay area. We did it by increasing the visibility of the foundation within its varied arts programming and educational outreach.

The Approach
The Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts is one of the most tenured and accomplished arts education organizations in Florida. While it’s programming is well-known, the Foundation itself has often taken a backseat.
Doubletake was hired to change that by connecting the local and regional arts programming of the Foundation with an awareness campaign that would be measured by membership growth, event attendance and media recognition. Our strategy included leveraging the amazing work the Foundation does with youth art education with social and earned media opportunities.
We bridged the gap between the development and funding side of the Foundation and the programmatic side with media stories that focused on how the national shows at the Mahaffey Theater promote the educational programs that have helped hundreds of thousands of youth experience the arts in the past few years. With some strategic story placement, we’ve also helped the Foundation build a more effective story to take to civic and corporate funding opportunities.
In addition to boosting the visibility of local cornerstone events like Party on the Plaza and BAMFests, we’ve connected the Foundation’s message to national touring events and even helped build a new opportunity with a summer camp for youth actors.
